Hotel Hall Environment Model

This hotel interior is made of modular units that can be rearranged and snap together like Legos to make all sorts of different structures, rather than modeling a floor fully and texturing the entire thing.

The models were made in Blender 3D. Most of the textures are procedural, however more complicated ones with specific shapes were painted in either Adobe Animate for clean vector lines or Photoshop for quality raster images. The plug-in Knittr was used to turn the smooth cog illustration on the red carpet into pieces that will appear as carpet-like bits from the distance the player is meant to view it in the final game.

Here's an example of a background I modeled and textured in Blender 3D. I have a few characters of mine to help make things a bit more interesting.

The elevator is its own panel, and the corners their own unique modular structures as well.

Here's an example of how easily the hallway can be altered by using the modular pieces. It takes seconds to make a row of doors either close together or some space between them, and you can throw in a corner or elevator easily wherever you'd like!

It may be a subtle detail, but the carpet has a cog border that is tile-able.

The carpet has 3 unique tile-able pieces; the straight side piece with cog design, the middle piece that is solid red, and the corner piece that has the cog design curve if the carpet needs to attach to an intersecting hallway.
